Nothing feels more natural than drafting and crafting expressions of beauty, be they artworks/objects/spaces/experiences. No endeavor seems nobler than transforming ineffable inspirations into tangible realities that help people feel greater connection to their own essence or our collective heartbeat.

Mercedes received her architecture degree from Virginia Tech, during which she studied extensively throughout Europe. She practiced for a decade in Washington DC and New York City.

In 2016, a major personal revelation prompted evolving beyond traditional architecture to found A STAND OUT.

She lives in Massachusetts with her husband and dog, where quiet moments find her considering the infinite places, people, and adventures she’d like to see, meet, and embark upon.
